Last Friday a new iPhone translation app was the buzz of the mobile world as it can instantly offer translations for almost every common foreign language. The app, titled Word Lens, works by offering users the chance to photograph any foreign language with the camera and then it instantly translates the text into English.
Since the app launched the developer behind it, Quest Visual, stated that it has been hit with queries and emails about the app and responded by posting a FAQ up on their website to address the frequent concerns.
Of course, those with a Winphone7, Android, or Blackberry operating system are asking if they can get the app as well, and the news seems positive as the Android seems to be the next logical target with the others in the works.
At the moment Spanish to English is operational on the device with the developer stating that the goal is to work through all of the European languages and then continue to expand globally from there.
Those who are having problems using the app are advised to make sure that the text is properly lit since this seems to be the most common problem people are having with the Word Lens.
