Widget UK Ltd has announced a new navigation device for those that travel on two-wheelers, the TomTom Urban Rider.
Sales Director of Widget, Bart Hoornthe, stated that the company decided that as the first distributor of Tom Tom’s in the UK it is now time that they bring Tom Tom’s to the market that will help those who ride on two-wheelers. He continued to say that by adding the Urban Rider to its collection now they can complete the full range of products available from Tom Tom.
The Urban Rider comes with a simple interface, is glove friendly, and offers an intuitive touch screen so that riders can enjoy all the best features of a typical personal navigation device while on their bikes. Included in the package are IQ Routes and advanced lane guidance for the low package price of £249.
The standout difference in the model is the menu, which is simplified down and only offers the options ‘browse map’ and ‘navigate to’ which allows users to quickly utilize the device while driving without any extra hassle or distraction. Additionally, in order to keep the screen glove friendly both icons are much larger than in standard automobile Tom Tom’s.
The advanced lane guidance also offers motorists’ additional safety since it shows a 3D picture of each upcoming junction so that riders can stay safe and relaxed as they navigate roadways.
Additionally, the MapShare Technology built into the device allows customers to update the maps free of charge.
