The new Asus SonicMaster is a technology update for the Asus computers, matching the latest in audio software with cutting edge audio hardware. With SonicMaster, Asus is setting a new, higher standard in computer audio experience.

With the release of the SonicMaster, Asus has developed a kind of personalised greeting card program that’s almost a game – it’s so fun to play around with. You make a music box, as they call it, with the easy 5-step process and your friend, or whoever you wish, receives your face on a music star’s body speaking your own recorded greeting in your voice, backed by a band playing whatever music you choose, making the combination is quite fascinating.

Of course, you don’t have to use your own face or a face at all. You can put up any picture you want of anything you want, just remember, it ends up in the place of the head of the music star.

For that matter, you don’t even have to record a greeting. You could “moo” like a cow the whole time or sing some stupid lyrics to make them laugh. You could make up a song about them, put a chicken’s head on the singer, to have them falling out of their seats, so there is no end of fun with this game-like greeting card program.

To top this off, you can share it through either email or social media, such as Facebook. You can challenge them to a competition to make their own. The steps are simple enough for even a child to complete a card. First, choose a music box, which plays a specified type of music. The available types include such things as Indie Rock, Crooner, Diva, Girl/Boy with Accordian, etc…

Next, upload your chosen photo, then you record your message or song or sounds, or whatever you can imagine, followed by writing some message. Lastly, just share the masterpiece with as many people as you like, however you like, as there is a link, an email interface, and a Facebook interface.

Even though this is a sponsored post, I have to say that I’ve messed with it and had lots of laughs with my friends. Try sending the back of your head as a photo or sing some non-sense words, peppered with an intelligent phrase of 2-3 words now and then. The phrases together should make some hidden message. Send that with a message you have typed in backward, right to left, and you will get the best replies and loads of fun.

So now you want to try it yourself, here it is: http://www.sonicmaster.asus.com/event/2010/musicbox/index.aspx . Have a go at it!

Form follows function with the arrival of the ASUS N Series notebook range, which epitomize style and productivity through smart technologies and innovative product design. Each N Series notebook comes with ground-breaking technological developments including the highly-efficient Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) that automatically allocates power, preserving battery life up to 35%*; the Express Gate operating system that allows users to access their most commonly-used programs in 8 seconds or less*; and the SmartLogon facial recognition system that recognizes users’ facial features and logs them on without requiring any manual key input.

Comprising of four models, the N Series smart technology caters to, and meets the tech-conscious user needs, with each notebook representing the pinnacle of mobile computing within its category.

Another unique feature of the N50 is its built-in Air Ionizer that not only helps clean the air around the user of allergens and germs, but also promotes air-flow and circulation.

Smart Looks – Cutting-edge Style

During the design of the N Series notebook range, ASUS utilized cutting-edge technologies, particularly in the use of In-Mold Roller Technology which creates a scratch-resistant panel capable of retaining its high quality sheen even after prolonged use. Inspired by modernist art-deco the streamline N Series notebooks exterior delivers performance with style.

Smart Technology – Super Hybrid Engine

ASUS understands that one of the primary concerns of notebook computing has always been battery life. In response to the need for greater energy efficiency, the ASUS N Series notebooks feature the Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) which consists of the Power4 Gear Hybrid application and the Energy Processing Unit (EPU). Power4 Gear Hybrid facilitates the deployment and usage of power according to the users’ preferences in relation to the specific tasks that they need to perform, while the
EPU accurately detects the users’ power requirements and makes the necessary power adjustments. The combined energy saving effects of the SHE results in an extension of battery life of up to 35%*.

Smart Technology – Smart Bootups in 8 Seconds and Fast Internet Connectivity with Express Gate

N Series notebooks also reduce bootup times significantly with ASUS Express Gate. Express Gate allows users to boot up in 8 seconds*, granting them instantaneous access to a built-in operating system that runs commonly-used applications such as SkypeTM, a music player, an email client and an Internet browser.

Smart Technology – Quick Logons through Facial Recognition

Continuing with the tradition of breaking computer norms, ASUS introduces a whole new way for users to logon to their computers: facial recognition. The SmartLogon system detects the user’s face and logs on without any intervention from the user. This system is designed to learn the variations of the user’s facial features, and is capable of performing in different lighting conditions.
