HP has developed their Slate 500 tablet computer primarily for business. In a recent report, HP has stated that its new tablet, Slate 500 will be primarily used to run business applications and will save time for their enterprise and business users due to portability.
The idea of a tablet that incorporates very strong business applications is a robust marketing idea. It allows HP to point out strengths like mobility and ease of use, while being able to avoid direct comparisons to Apple’s iPad.
The Slate will come with a digital pen for taking meeting notes. A docking station is included in the overall cost, which is figured to be about $799.00 in the US.
There is no word on if and when the HP Slate will be coming to the UK. Its initial offering will be in the U.S. market only and will progress from there depending on demand.
