The Flip Video Camcorder series by Pure digital is a small and simple to use unit. The camera can easily fit into anyone’s pocket and comes with a digital zoom. The camera also features a one touch recording. Besides, the camcorder holds up to 60 minutes of video and has an in built memory of around 2 GB. The camcorder features a complete VGA video quality. In fact there is no real need for any additional memory cards or tapes.

The camcorder also comes with an USB arm plug that is very convenient to use and one could directly plug these into a computer. The camcorder also allows its users to share and view files on their computers.

The camcorder has a built in software that allows its users to e–mail videos and also upload some videos from sites like AOL and YouTube. Besides, the camcorder also allows users to capture still images and photographs from videos that might have been recorded previously.

The camcorder has an included cable that provides for instant video viewing on the television. The size of the screen on the camcorder is 1.5 inches and the resolution of the screen is 520 x 132 pixels. The camcorder features Transflective TFT screen type to enhance functionality and performance even in bright daylight. Flip Video also features a multi – step 2x digital smooth zoom. Besides on the interface, the camcorder features around 8 buttons that serve navigation, record, play, delete and power modes.

The Flip Side camcorder also has speakers that are built into the device. There is also a sensitive microphone that has been built into the camcorder. The microphone has been built with higher accuracy for a wider range. The camcorder uses 2 x AA Alkaline batteries that render a high battery life of around 2.5 hours. However, the user could choose to use the 2 x AA Energizer e2 batteries that render a battery life of around 6.5 hours.

The camcorder is compatible with Windows Vista, Windows XP and Mac OSX operating systems. The camcorder also allows users to edit videos that have been recorded using the video truncation and movie mix software.

The internal flash memory on the camcorder holds up to 60 minutes of videos and allows its users to not only record but also share these videos. The image quality that is achieved by the camcorder is comparable to any other camcorder (which might be way too expensive!) The camera also features a no glare display and can be used both indoors and outdoors quite efficiently. The camera assures good quality videos with a resolution of 640 x 480 and at 30 frames in one second. The display on the camcorder is accompanied with a video card that enhances the video quality to a certain extent.
