HP the popular PC brand has premiered a large collection of thin laptops including their show piece the 11 inch HP laptop dm1 but looks were deceiving as many people were wondering where the new features and designs that HP is expected to debut every year.
It turns out they were waiting because this week they announced a new redesigned DV line that is complete with the new features and designs that people were waiting for with distinct differences made to their Pavilion dv6 and dv7 laptops.
The new design is a part of the MUSE launch which is HP’s new marketing philosophy that advertises its brand emphasizes on usability, materials, experience, and sensory appeal.
The dv6 and dv7 models come complete in a dark umber metal finish and are sleek like high end laptops are supposed to be. New features include the Beats Audio software which is courtesy of the Envy line and are equipped with quad speakers with a subwoofer even equipped on the bottom panel of the dv7 laptop.
Also making a splash is the HP CoolSense technology in the laptops which is an app that controls the fans manually so that one can make sure that the fan runs quiet and cool as you wish depending on the circumstances and what you think your laptop needs.
Additionally, missing from the HP laptops is the clickpad type of touch pad that is traditional of HP laptops and in its place is a normal mouse pad complete with right and left buttons. However, the clickpad is still part of the Envy line and this is possibly to help keep the distinction between the high end laptop lines and the middle laptop lines.
Externally, the dv6 and the dv7 will also have a USB 3.0 port built into them and will come with the newest generation Intel Core processors although the brand of processors is supposed to have its own set of problems which may delay the release of the systems past their original street date which for now is sometime around the end of spring of 2011.
