The successor to the Micro Four Thirds system camera by Panasonic is without a doubt the Lumix G2, which resembles its predecessor with special perks such as a thin rubber coating that protects the device, adds to the grip, and simply feels nice to grab onto.
In the same way that the original Panasonic product tossed away the mirror mechanism that is traditionally housed in a DLSR, the Lumix G2 has as well, resulting in a much smaller compact size allowing it to be included in the new hybrid category of devices that are not full DSLR gadgets, but not compacts either.

With one simple touch of the IT button found on many of Panasonic’s photo gadgets, and all common subjects and scenes are recognized and instantly the gadget runs through a series of calculations so that you get the best photo possibly as a result simply by pointing and shooting.
Other features on the Lumix G2 include semi-touch screen operability, shutter or aperture; three angle adjustable LCD, a 460k resolution, and plenty of physical and manual controls for those with the proper photography background that want a bit more control over their shots.
