Customer service phone systems need to have advanced features built into them in order to accurately distribute the calls based on the actual volume of the calls and the needs of the callers. In order to make sure that your clients have an overall positive impression of your business by the time their call is completed you need to make sure that your calls are routed in an efficient and quick manner which is one reason that you may want to take a look at network based ACD phone systems for your company so that the actual process of being routed does not frustrate or anger them.

The main goal of all customer service departments is to serve the customer and ensure that by the time a customer ‘walks away’ they are satisfied with the help they received; therefore, you do not want to put them through the ringer as they are transferred around a phone network in search of someone that may be able to help them. No one likes to spend time on a call routing circuit, and there is little doubt that your customers will not like it as well, so having a service that routes customers exactly as needed is one great way to prevent this from occurring.

However, you do not have to worry about this when you use an ACD network because calls can be routed and sorted in many different ways, allowing for them to reach their expected destination in a quick and easy manner. Automatic call distribution is also sometimes defined as skill based routing given the fact that calls are routed based on judging the difficulty of a caller’s needs and the knowledge level of available agents to make the best fit that will result in smooth customer service operations.

It is easy to see how this type of distribution could be useful if you take a closer look at how routing the phone calls using ACD would occur. For instance, if you have a group of customer reps that are very experienced and knowledgeable when it comes to returns you would want them to automatically receive any phone calls that have to do with returns, but during busy times you need to have other forms of back up to help prevent long wait times. In this case, you would be able to efficiently use your staff to help round out all aspects of the call experience while also making sure that you are using your staff strengths correctly.

This is just one example of one skill, but with proper ACD set up every staff member will have their skills rated and are assigned an area of expertise that would judge how their phone calls are routed. This way you only have to use inexperienced staffers during peak times to help smooth wait times, but the rest of the time your customers get instant and the best service that your business is able to provide which is not such a bad deal.

If you are a video game buff, you probably blow through a pretty hefty budget on trying to get the latest games. Because these action-packed digital pastimes are just so addictive, gamers everywhere have tried to figure out how to continue the constant flow of late-breaking video games and their updated versions without going bankrupt or running out of shelf space. And they have found a few options that suit them just fine.

With the help of the Internet, the gaming industry has found a new life force in game swapping and reselling. Though sellers are not likely to get a cheque for the amount of the original price tag, selling old video games is a great way to pass along some digital entertainment to fellow game enthusiasts looking for a less expensive way to indulge their habit. In addition, it also earns you a bit of cash that you can put towards new games for your digital entertainment collection.

But how does one go about selling old video games? The most traditional way is to sell them in person to music and entertainment store. However, gamers have also turned to sites like Ebay and Amazon for years to resell old games. Becoming your own seller is usually reliable and secure, but it can be a bit laborious because you have to connect with buyers and ship the games to them. If you want to spend more time playing your new games than you spend trying to get rid of the old ones, there is a new selling trend that can help.

Sites like musicMagpie are making selling games less time-consuming by allowing you to sell as few as ten games at a time. Some of these online selling services even enable you to carry out your entire interaction without ever having to leave your home. With everything from courier service to pre-marked postage, you can just upload your information on their sites and then send the games without having to pay for shipping.

Selling games is a part of a larger trend in recycling digital entertainment. Using the same methods that are available for selling games, users can also sell music and movies. The digitisation of all things entertainment has aided this trend by making it possible to store all kinds of files and documents on the hard drive of a personal computer or, even more recently, cloud drives that can be accessed from any device. Because more and more people are using these space-saving and more convenient ways to catalogue music, movies and games, recycling your old disks could become an important source of income for you.

There was so much disappointment with the lack of a iPhone 5 and the coming of the updated iPhone 4s, that many people just shot from the hip and labelled the device a failure. However, as the last month of iPhone 4S contract sales have shown, the phone is anything but.

As Mark Hirst, technology expert and Managing Director of UK comparison site Best mobile Contracts has said “The introduction of dual core processing and improved graphics helps Apple stay on top of its game. New developments such as iCloud, Siri and its new iOS 5 ensure that the iPhone 4S remains one of the leading handsets in the smartphone arena.”

However, why did we get an iPhone 4S and not an iPhone 5?

Well looking at the issues at hand, the sad departure of Steve Jobs from this world may be a reason. The lack of a leading light and the role of Tim Cook, which left other departments short would have left Apple in a tight place for man power and so there was a lack of time to create and iPhone 5. Apple needed to release something for Christmas and it had to be faultless and so an iPhone 4S was the best available option.

Apple is also having a number of problems with Samsung, who supplies the company with a wide array of its components. Apple and Samsung have been at legal loggerheads over patents recently and there are rumors that Samsung isn’t offering the American company the service it requires because of this. This may have limited components and also may be part of the issue that Apple is looking for a new partner to help with the big changes needed for its new iPhone 5. All of this may have prevented the production of the phone as planned.

Components may have also been in short supply because of the Tsunami in the east of Asia. This would have obviously slowed down the production of parts for the iPhone and pushed its creation back by a few months, such things may have affected the device.

Perhaps there was never meant to be an iPhone 5. We already had an updated iPhone 3GS before we had an iPhone 4, so why not an iPhone 4S before we get an iPhone 5? It makes complete sense when you think about it – so maybe the iPhone 5 was just a figment of our over expectant imaginations. It doesn’t matter too much as the new iPhone 4S does much of what we expected from the potential iPhone 5 anyway. It has the faster processor, improved interface and new features like iMessage and Siri. All that has not been present is a larger screen – and as many iPhone users will tell you, a larger screen is not really wanted.

Note – This review and trailer video relates to a game with a PEGI 18 rating. The adult classification is applied when the level of violence reaches a stage where it becomes depictions of gross violence and/or includes elements of specific types of violence. Gross violence is the most difficult to define since in a lot of cases it can be very subjective, but in general terms it can be classed as the depictions of violence that would make the viewer feel a sense of revulsion.

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few years ,you can’t have failed to have heard about the Call of Duty series of video games. If you are one of the millions of gamers across the world who likes nothing better than to sit down and play these exciting, strategic and bloody games, you will be salivating at the upcoming release of the latest in the series, Modern Warfare 3.

The trailer that has been released is really edge of seat stuff, and the graphics are so improved you forget that it is a game. MW3 starts with bombs being synchronised to go off across Europe at the same moment, wreaking havoc and reducing famous landmarks to rubble.

You are taken around Europe to see the damage that has been done, with a suitably menacing voice over at the beginning from whoever it was who has brought Europe to its knees. This seems to be an old adversary, as the commentary changes and says that if he is back in the grid, then so are we.

The action from here on in is fast and furious, with the expected high body count and plenty of blood and gore. The setting is very much modern day, and this looks to be the best game so far in the Call of Duty franchise. It’s available to pre order now, which is highly advised as, if this trailer is anything to go by, this game is going to fly off the shelves.

Die hard Call of Duty fans will be gagging to get their hands on it, and the modern setting and all that brings with it will undoubtedly bring a while new wave of gamers into the global Call of Duty global fraternity, that’s how powerful and emotive this trailer is.

There doesn’t seem to be a week goes by without the launch of a new smartphone that promises to be better than all the rest. In this fiercely competitive market, there are more that sink without a trace than make it to the upper echelons of the smartphone kingdom. There are some new arrivals however, that simply due to their name, grab your attention and make you sit up and take notice, and one of these is the Windows Phone.

Windows is a name synonymous with today’s technology, and the backing of the mighty Microsoft Corporation promises great things. As we have all learnt in the past however, a name doesn’t always deliver what it promises, but the Windows Phone seems to do what it say on the tin, and much more besides.

What you get with a Windows Phone UK is essentially the Windows technology built into HTC handsets, one of the top names for both performance and reliability. The current models that are being marketed under the Windows Phone banner are; the HTC 7 Mozart, the HTC HD7, both on 02, the HTC Mozart on Orange, and the HTC Radar and Titan on Phones4U. The combination of these handsets and the Windows technology make for very impressive smartphones.

There is an awful lot of technology packed into these phones, but the performance certainly doesn’t suffer for it. It has the full Office suite so you have access to all your emails and files instantly, as well as creating new documents on mobile Word or creating presentations with the powerpoint facility. This is an obvious boon to those who use their smartphones in a professional way with Office being the biggest of its kind across the globe.

One click brings up the Bing Search Engine, and finding what you are looking for on your handset has never been easier. If you are looking for the times of a film for example, as well as giving you all the info you need, it will also bring up the apps that allow you to buy the tickets there and then and give you the option to download them if you haven’t already got them.

These are the only phones that have the innovative people hub, allowing a one touch connection to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, ensuring that you are always kept in the loop. The excellent camera enables you to take pictures even if your phone is locked, so no more missed photo opportunities.

There are many more great features to these phones that you can check out on the website, but suffice to say, this is one smartphone that is going to be huge.

We’ve all seen the adverts, usually featuring close-ups of frogs in the rainforest and raindrops on leaves, but just how much difference does HD TV really make to our viewing pleasure? And what makes HD TV so dramatically different from regular television? Here we take a look at the latest TV must have and explain the basics. You can find out more about HD television over at Sky.com too.

HD TV stands for high-definition television. As the name implies, HD televisions offer higher definition images and higher definition sound quality than a standard television. The biggest different between standard TV and HD is that HD TV’s are packed with twice as many horizontal lines of resolution than standard sets. This, along with the fact that HD TV sets also allow for a far larger range of colours to be displayed, results in a far sharper and more realistic televisual image. HD televisions can be used to enjoy HD TV shows, HD DVD’s and HD video games to full effect.

If you want to upgrade to higher definition television, you’re going to need some equipment, namely an HD-ready TV. HD-compatible TV’s are built to accept HD-format input and they then display it at a minimum of 720 lines of progressive-scan or noninterlaced video. When you’re out shopping for your fancy new flatscreen set, you’ll find HD-ready TV’s easy to spot thanks to the HD-ready logo.

Now that you have a TV built to display HD images, you’ll need a receiver that’s built to receive and process the HD signal. The easiest way is to purchase an HD-ready television that comes with a built-in HD receiver. This way you’ll have less cables tangled up down the back of your TV stand too. Alternatively, you can opt for a Freesat or Freeview HD set top box. These set top boxes don’t come with any kind of subscription package like a Sky dish, so there’s no monthly fee, all you need to do is purchase one and it’s ready to use.

With your new HD TV and receiver up and running, you’re now able to view all the regular channels you’re used to (although these won’t be high definition), as well as the growing number of dedicated HD channels, including a host of sports channels. However, just because a programme is showing on an HD channel this doesn’t mean that the show itself has been filmed in HD. For a show to be truly high definition quality, it needs to have been filmed using HD cameras too. A surprisingly small amount of HD programming is actually filmed in HD at the moment, but the number of truly HD TV shows is growing steadily.

The Apple iPad 2 is the most current model, but many shoppers wonder just how much of a difference there is between this product and the original iPad. After all, the first iPad enjoyed an incredible level of success from day one, so how much better can the new one be?

Some features have remained more or less the same. The screen quality is more or less identical to the original iPad. Screen resolution is the same too. Both have 3-axis accelerometers (so they can sense changes of speed and direction in all three planes). WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities are pretty similar on both iPads. Both are available in 16, 32, and 64GB options.

However, the iPad 2 is quite a lot faster. Apps that require heavy-duty processing will run better on the new iPad, and as more apps are developed with the iPad 2 in mind users will see more and more that utilise the greater speed.

The iPad 2 has front and rear cameras, which are handy for making video chats with friends and family over a Wi-Fi internet connection.

The last and most immediately obvious difference is the weight. The iPad 2 is noticeably lighter and slimmer than the old iPad, despite preserving the same screen size. An original iPad weighs in between 680g and 730g (the heavier 3G option). An iPad 2 can weigh as little as 601g, and is slightly slimmer. A maximum saving of 126g or 4.55 ounces may not seem like a lot but it does feel noticeably lighter when you’re holding the device for long periods of time.

The last difference between the original iPad and iPad 2 is price. Buyers can expect to pay a lot more for the newest technology but they are getting more power for their money, in a slightly smaller and lighter package.

The Panasonic Lumix TZ20 Digital Camera (also called the DMC-ZS10 in the USA) is the latest version of Panasonic’s popular travel zoom camera – the Lumix TZ10. Like its predecessor this compact camera looks like it’s going to be winning everyone over, primarily because it has one of the best optical zoom powers you’ll find in a compact camera. Sure, the rest of the specs are truly impressive, but its zooming capabilities will put any compact digital camera to shame, so much so that we can easily forgive its rather chunky (compared to other compact cameras) appearance.

As mentioned above, the Lumix TZ20 has an excellent optical zoom range just as the TZ10 does. What wasn’t mentioned above though is that it actually improves on that range making the 12x zoom lens in the TZ10 pale in comparison. Instead of just a 12x zoom, the Lumix TZ20 is capable of an astounding 16x optical zoom thanks to its 24mm ultra wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens. Between the 16x optical zoom capability and the 24mm wide-angle lens, you can bet that you’ll have a much wider viewing space, allowing you to capture as broad a picture as you want of the farthest objects spot.

Even more impressive perhaps, is the fact that the 16x optical zoom does not work for image capture alone, but is also available in movie recording. This means that you don’t have to limit yourself to stunning still images of faraway objects, but can capture even the farthest of events unfold through a fully zoomed video capture. And with the separate one-touch movie record button now located at the top surface of the camera, you can easily switch to video recording without having to put down your camera.

The Panasonic Lumix TZ20 zooming capacity doesn’t end with its 16x optical zoom lens either, it also boasts of being capable of up to 21x zoom via the Intelligent Zoom. The Intelligent Zoom makes use of the Intelligent Resolution Technology, which extends the zoom ratio by about 1.3x while ensuring that the picture quality doesn’t suffer. However, you should note that zooming in beyond the 16x optical zoom range will mean picture resolutions of less than the maximum 14.1 megapixels, albeit still resulting in really sharp images. Now this is a feature you wont often find on other digital cameras.

If you do want to zoom in beyond even the 21x that the Intelligent Zoom function supports, you can actually do so thanks to the Extra Optical Zoom function that extends the camera’s zoom power to as much as 33.8x. This zoom power is made possible by using the centre part of the 1/2.33-type MOS sensor. Note though that images captured using the Extra Optical Zoom function will have resolutions of 3-megapixels or less.

Zooming in is also a breeze with the TZ20 thanks to the camera’s touchscreen operation.

With the rather overwhelming zoom power of this camera, you can bet that it lives up to the name that Panasonic dubbed it – the Super Zoom Digital Camera.

This amazing piece of technology is quite simply one of the most desirable tablets to ever appear on the market, and understandably, Samsung have gone all out to make the launch something special.

One of the new videos features the lovely Cat Deeley, and shows her relaxing by a pool and singing the praises of the Galaxy Tab and its brilliant video capabilities. Entitled ‘behind the scenes on the Galaxy shoot with Cat Deeley’ she is seen being photographed with the Galaxy Tab and then speaking directly to the camera while she explains which features she is most impressed by.

Cat loves the size and the portability, and of course the video. She tells us that she is redecorating her home in Los Angeles and how she can easily walk around with her Galaxy Tab and show her family back in England what she is having done without trying to describe it or carrying a laptop around.

Cat Deeley plays a bit part in the Galaxy Tab promotion and as she tells us, there are new video updates on the way so make sure you log on to keep up to date with the latest news on the fabulous device.
