We’ve got a great video starring Lewis Hamilton, the Cabbies and even the legend that is Jim Rosenthal. It also features ‘Eastenders’ very own Barry (aka Shaun Williamson) and is genuinely funny!
The video’s been created to promote Vodafone’s brand new F1 competition – ‘Taxi Grand prix’.
What’s it all about? – it’s a really simple but clever competition mechanic. Select two real-life taxi drivers from a pool of ten to race for you. Each driver will have to complete a set distance by picking up real fares in their taxi. Their progress will be tracked via the GPS device on their mobile phone which they’ll carry with them at all times. Just like in Formula 1 the aim of the game is for your team of drivers to finish the race before anyone else. Simple!
It’s going to be great fun and if you’ve got the most points at the end of the season, you will be crowned champion and taken to Monza for the Italian Grand Prix for an all expenses paid, 5 star luxury trip of a lifetime. In addition to this, there’s also 100s of other prizes up for grabs including tickets to the British Grand Prix, HTC MagicTM phones, hot laps around the track with Lewis and signed Vodafone McLaren Mercedes merchandise.
