Buying The Shield Delux for 5 computers in my office was the biggest mistake I made ever!!! the product is a joke. My laptop first day I installed the shield delux start crashing and pop ups dont stop for a second. And it is second month I am trying to contact their customer suport and get them to give me answers! they replied me and gave me phone number to ring which doesnt exist and when I sent them email back after that they are not replying to me at all.

Purchased and installed on 3/31 — 4/2 first real sign of email problems, and PC is slow. One Email to multiple people hung and repeated the send 7 times (making lots of friends). Figured it was an email issue. April 5/6 any email with an attachment close to 1MB would hang up — same issue as before — repeated sending 5,6,7 times (smart enough to test to myself first now). Couldn’t delete the email until I went into off-line mode. Uninstalled PC Shield Deluxe. Reinstalled … same problem. Talked to tech support - they had me remove potential conflicts with MS programs. Uninstalled / reinstalled — same problem. Uninstalled and tested email — works fine. Reinstalled - same problem. Uninstalled PCSD - installed Avast — all is good.

I installed this software last month and have not had a single problem since. Eariler, my computer used to keep freezing and used to keep giving me one error message or another. I would say the this is the best software I’ve ever put in my system. I would suggest them to make an operating system as well so I can get rid of this Windows off my computer..

I’ve been using The Shield Deluxe 2009 since October 2008. Initially I thought it was a great product, it removed virus’s on my PC that PC Tools, and Webroot failed to do.
Today July 8, 2009 - Before today, I nothing but problems with the product and support, and decided to finally uninstall it, and move to another highly recommended Virus/etc. products.
List of issues with The Shield Deluxe 2009
1. I submitted tickets to the help desk, and NO REPLY, I tried there
on-line CHAT, could not get a reply after a week.
SO NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT
2. Virus database updates commonly have corrupted files.
3. The Shield Deluxe 2009 when running slows down the system till it’s
just not usable.
4. The product freezes/locks up my XP system.
I would NOT recommend this software/lack of support to anyone.
