Lost in Blue series has so far three game series for the Ninetendo DS. Konami has recently announced the fourth entry in the series for the Wii. The game is yet to get an official title, however some guys at gamespot got a hands on. The newest Lost in Blue entrant would introduce new characters set in a new story. However, the method of narration will be similar to the previous games. You are the sole survivor of a ship wreck and find yourself washed ashore on a small island. Later, the character finds his way to another island where there is plenty to explore, including the remains of a wrecked ship and a volcano. The gamespot team got a chance to explore the beginnings of the game. Since the game was fully in Japanese ,they found it difficult to understand the story and dialogue. The game starts off with a choice of male or female character and you begin the game y being stranded on the island with a pet monkey by your side. You’ll find numerous of these pets as you go along, they can help you by gathering items and injecting a general sense of cuteness and entertainment. The game gives very little info at the beginning and tasks you to take care of your character two basic needs eating and drinking. There are several berries which are scattered around the palce, or else you can climb a tree and shake the Wii Remote to get your hands on some coconuts. For thirst you will have to depend on the waterfalls, there will plastic bottles lying around which you can use to store water for later use. Once you take care of hunger and thirst , you can start wit the exploration part which basically involves roaming the island and picking things up on the way. On the beach there will be the ocassionaly lumps of sands, brush away the sand with your Wiimote and there usually will be an object of interest such as shells. Look a around the island till you get hold of some and driftwood, the perfect combo to make a raft. A really interesting thing when building the raft is that you have to mimic the hand gestures of tying the knot and also sawing the wood using your Wii Remote. The hands on session ended as soon as they finished building the raft, but they were told that they would be able to travel to a distant island which allows for more explorations and also a chance encounter with another human. Lost in Blue supports multiplayer gameplay, you and a friend can enjoy more than 40 minigames. The minigames are of two types, you and your friend can either compete against each other or play as a team against the Wii. The game is widely anticipated by fans of the previous Lost in Blue games and it is expected to be released sometime in fall this year.
