The G810 is another solid mobile from Samsung. The phone has been designed to compliment the S60 operating system. The launch of the all new handset from the company is being looked upon as a direct challenge to the N95 phone of Nokia. The G810 has been a metallic body with a brush style. The G810 is a slider phone. The front panel of the phone features a navigation key that is styled in the form of a D-Pad and, 4 soft keys that serve several purposes.

The screen of G810 is a TFT screen that supports 256,000 colors. The size of the screen is 2.6 inches and it measures 320 * 240 pixels. The TFT screen is quite bright and provides for good quality images that are pretty clear to view even in the brightest of surroundings; the mobile phone has been incorporated with a camera of 5.0 mega pixels. The two most striking features of the camera are the Xenon flash and an auto focus. The camera assures images of a good quality even in poor light conditions. The face recognition and the 3 X optical zoom features of the camera ensure that pictures that are clicked are sharp. However, the video recording on the phone is done through VGA resolution.

The Samsung G810 is also a good SatNav device as it is equipped with a GPS receiver that functions well with the Google maps of the latest version. In fact, Google maps are available with the native S60 application and have in the past worked pretty well in combination with Nokia N82 cell phone. The GPS receiver on the G810 also supports Geotagging. Thus, you can record details of various locations by clicking a picture of the location. The phone also allows users to blog about pictures and locations. Thus, you could share the pictures and details with your family and friends.

The phone has an in – built music player that plays music files of several formats. You could also listen to your favorite music on the phone through Bluetooth wireless headphones. The phone has Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity and also features a FM stereo. You could also choose to use your favorite headphones with the help of the 3.5 mm output jack for audio.

The Samsung G810 phone features HSDPA broadband and Wi-Fi connectivity. Both of these offer high speed internet connections and allow you to download large files at speeds that are quite high. The phone has a 130 MB memory. Other than this, there is a Micro SD card that is provided with the phone. The card that is currently available is up to 8 GB.

The G810 handset looks nice and also meets the requirements of fashion conscious people. Other than this, the features on the phone are quite appealing and the phone could prove to be a good alternative to the high end phones with the S60 operating system that are currently available in the market.
