Mystery Dungeon is another game that has been developed by Sega. The game features a character by the name of Sisyphus, which comes from a Greek myth. The game involves role play and has been designed for the Nintendo DS. The game is basically an updated and modified version of Super Famicom, which is a considerably old game.

As a player of the game, you are expected to complete tasks by moving through dungeons. The game involves as many as 30 dungeon floors. While moving through these, you are expected to collect several items and manage spaces. Other than this, you will also have to fight several monsters. Every time you die in the game you would be sent back to the start and none of the progress that you might have made would then matter.

You would be playing the game as an adventurer by the name of Shiren. Shiren has set out on a quest to find the Golden Condor and to find El Dorado. The Golden Condor is a bird that has the ability to grant anybody’s wishes. Shiren travels through mountains, villages, forests, and creeks. Shiren’s adventure comes to an end when he reaches the center of the Table Mountain.

The game is turn based and every move that you make is counted as a turn. For each of your turn, there is a corresponding response from the other characters or enemies. While making your moves for each turn, you would also have to manage the hunger levels of Shiren. His hunger is basically based on the fullness factor that decreases with every turn that you take. However, because of the turn based character of the game, you might have to wait over and over again just so that the other characters can complete their moves.

There are several tricks in the game that might require you to collect some items, so that you can take advantage of the turn based character of the game. You also need to build up inventories in the game, which can be rather difficult. The most difficult part of the game is that Shiren needs to carry several things at the same time; however, he is incapable of doing so. Then again there is endless number of enemies that Shiren needs to successfully encounter. The graphics of the game is simple but at the same time the game is quite colorful. The background score of the game is quite pleasing and has been greatly inspired from Asian instruments.

Although the difficulty level of the Mystery Dungeon is high, the unique items that you are expected to collect provide considerable entertainment. Besides, there are several skills and tricks that the player of the game is expected to exploit so as to defeat the monsters. One of the main features of the game is randomization of action which makes the game unpredictable and exciting. Despite the fact that the game might seem a little too lengthy, the game has received a satisfactory rating and assures some good quality entertainment.
