Rockstar recently hit the streets with an updated and “work-in progress” version of the much anticipated Grand Theft Version IV. The game ran on the Xbox 360 and had undergone a slew of upgrades since the last time it was seen. The mission starts off with a cinema that finds Grand Theft Auto IV’s mystifying protagonist , Nikolai entering a garage and asking for a guy called Brucie, who wants someone to do some professional whacking ( to be read murder). Niko is asked to steal a cop car and give Brucie a call once he’s done with it. You can secure a police car in a few ways, either you can choose to cause a few rumpuses that attract the police then you can carjack one or you can search the streets for one, go over to the police station and help yourself to one and finally simply call the police and report a fake crime. Once Niko gets the car and loses the wanted level by outrunning the police, you’ll be rewarded with the option of unlocking some real neat features like the police database which is easily accessible via any police car.
Once Nikolo enters his targets name, he’ll be rewarded with the mugshot and last known address. If you’ve taken a snap of someone with your cellphone, you can also search the database by the photo. On arriving at his victim’s pad, Niko manages to make his way to the door only to see his intended target rush out like a possessed madman out of hell, having made the realization that Niko is not there on a social visit .A chase ensues with Nikon on pursuit of the victim through the Liberty City freeway system, in a desperate attempt to shoot him down. The dramatic chase provides the perfect showcase for the chase-cam options, including one that switches betweens several views, with one that zooms in on your target being the slickest. Once the target has been taken care of, he gives Brucie a call asking for his payment.
There are loads of non-primary shenanigans that you can poke your nose into, the game’s social aspects relate to your relationship with the non playing characters. Rockstar reps noted that the nicer the car, the nicer the GPS that it comes equipped with. The more upscale ones will have a voice giving you directions to your destination. Once Niko got him a swanky pair of wheels, he picked up Roman and then used the GPS to look for nearby bars, in this case he wanted to go to a place called Beer Garden. As far as visuals are concerned, the game looks pretty slick on the Xbox 260; the developers have delivered on their promise of a living city with a logical expansion of what they have been offering in the precious GTA titles. The Xbox 360’s massive processing power afforded Rockstar North to include numerous pedestrians and details such as garbage and street clutter. GTA IV is slated to ship in the next few months
